Worship
leader and Christ-follower first. Chart-topping Christian recording
artist second. The Daniel Doss Band never sought
anything other than opportunities to engage people at the spiritual
level, and evoke God-sized encounters through worship. If unselfish
hearts are truly rewarded, this might explain the unprecedented success
The Daniel Doss Band has experienced these past years. Singles including “God
In Me” and “Hold On” propelled them into a whirlwind
of radio and touring success. Recently signed to Nashville based
Mission House Music Label Group and "Mission House Records," the
Daniel Doss Band is gearing up for a monumental second album release, “Beyond
My Reach, featuring their first radio release in three years, “My
Deliverer.”
Mark Hall of Casting Crowns says, “I have spent a lot of
time with these guys and they are the real deal. Daniel’s
writing is sincere, honest, and speaks clearly about God’s
love and hope in Christ. Their music will impact anyone who hears
it.” These sentiments are expounded upon by Christian music
mega-producer Ed Cash (Chris Tomlin, tobyMac) who says, “Working
with Daniel was a true joy - he has a phenomenal voice and a true
heart for worshiping God. He really understands the importance
of writing songs that usher God’s people into His presence.
The Daniel Doss Band has always been deeply grounded in the church.
It is that grounding that has shaken things up a bit in the past
year. About five years ago Daniel was a part of a church plant
in Clarksville, TN called Grace Community Church. In the first
four years while he and his wife were there it grew to well over
1200 in attendance and it continues to grow each week. In the
spring of 2009 God began stirring in Daniel's heart to do it
all over again with childhood friend Ben Lamb in Valparaiso,
Indiana. It is a growing town about an hour southeast of Chicago.
The new church is called Grace Point and Daniel is co-pastoring
alongside Ben; Daniel focusing on music worship and Ben focusing
on teaching. Meanwhile Bryan, bass player, and his wife have
answered the call to help plant a church in Belgium. They are
beginning the training process now and are planning to launch
this new work in the spring of 2011. Kenny Davis, drummer, is
a Texas native and graduated from Belmont University in Nashville
in May of this year and has begun doing some production work
as well as playing out with Paul Baloche who is the worship leader
at his home church in Texas. His role with DDB is expanding to
that of road manager as well as drummer. Will McKelvey, guitar,
has been with Daniel for several years and actually played on
their last indie record "Love Like Rain" recorded in
2005 and appeared on “Greater Than Us All” on the
song “Light is Shining.” Will's exceptional ability
was recognized as a teenager by world-renown guitarist Phil Keagy
who continues to be a musical mentor to Will. These guys are
excited about this new record “Beyond My Reach” It
is a step forward musically and lyrically giving voice to the
church and comfort to the brokenhearted. Look for Daniel Doss
Bands' "Beyond my Reach" to release early this fall
2010. For more information about Daniel Doss Band, their music
